Day 14: Best movie sequel

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

This is another one that really doesn’t need any explanation.  It is a truth universally acknowledged that the second Star Wars film expanded on the first one in many brilliant and beautiful ways before culminating in the greatest, most epic cliffhanger in cinema history.  The first movie was great, but the sequel increased the depth and scope of the story.  It also has more humor, romance, and action than the first.  And it introduced Yoda, so there’s that too.
